I started writing here in early 2024. Two years and forty-something posts later, the thing I find most surprising is how little has changed about why I do it.

I write to find out what I think. The audience, such as it is, is incidental. If a post is read by twelve people and one of them sends me a thoughtful email, that’s a better outcome than ten thousand drive-by hits.
